"A statisztika nagyon sokszor használja pénzérme feldobását a sztochasztikus folyamatok szemléltetésére. Kétségtelen hogy minden részletével együtt ez egy igazán bonyolult folyamat, de bizonyos egyszerűsítő feltételek mellett -vákuumkamrában, jól definiált paraméterekkel történő gépi dobás- mégis bizonyos mértékig előrejelezhető a végeredmény.
Vizsgáljunk egy, a padló magasságából függőlegesen feldobott vékony, kicsiny sugarú érmét ().
Az érme a feldobás pillanatában vizszintes, síkmenti irányban helyezkedik el, megegyezéses alapon a fej van felül. Az érme a talajról nem pattan el, közegellenállás nincs, az r sugár elhanyagolhatóan kicsi az érme tömegközépponti mozgásához tartozó trajektória jellemző hosszához képest.
A dobás paramétereinek (sebesség, szögsebesség) függvényében írja fel hogy mikor lesz a dobás eredménye fej, és mikor írás. Fogalmazza meg kvalitatívan a véletlenszerűség feltételeit.
Fogalmazzon meg felső becslést a értékére vonatkozóan.
Hozzávetőlegesen mekkora ez az érték egy valóságos pénzfeldobó-automatára?"
